Hatton’s Ferry Ride

So I’ve been wanting to do this ride for a while now.  Hatton’s Ferry is the last poled ferry in America that crosses the James River south of Charlottesville.  We’ll meet at the Golden Corral, 2324 Chesapeake Square Ring Rd, Chesapeake, VA  23321, at 8:30ish with ksu at 9:00am.  The route out is ~ 170 miles and 4 hours so plan on all day out and back.

“Hatton Ferry” asks for donations of $5 per person and $10 per vehicle to ride the ferry. All donations go towards the upkeep, maintenance and continuation of the running of the ferry.

The Hatton Ferry is owned and operated by “Hatton Ferry”, a non-profit group consisting of members from Albemarle and Buckingham Counties.
