SUMMARY:Virginia Motogiro
DESCRIPTION:WHAT IS A MOTOGIRO\n\nThis is the first Virginia venue and we expect it to draw riders from across the eastern U.S. and even a few that usually come from TX\, the mid-west\, and Canada. Motogiros have generally been held in the Northeast U.S. with a few notable exceptions of Knoxville\, TN\, Ashville\, NC and Leeds\, AL. This is best described as an endurance rally for pre-1968 motorcycles not over 305cc. There are a few exceptions granted for bikes just outside of the rule for age. Scooters and any motorcycle sidecar combination are eligible regardless of vintage or displacement. Riders follow a prescribed route for approximately 300 miles over one and half days. There are check points\, time checks and rider agility tests to compete. Class entries start at 50cc. Entries are limited to 100 riders. Giros usually fill up within a few weeks of “open registration”. As with any event\, there are really serious competitors and others who just hope to finish!

DESCRIPTION:BMW Motorcycle Club of Hampton Road invites you to join us for our 42nd annual BMW Motorcycle rally.  Our rally site is the Rockahock Campground just a little north of Williamsburg and just outside the Historical Triangle of VA.  Many wonderful historical sites (Williamsburg\, Jamestown\, and Yorktown) are close by with great riding roads. \nWe have an action packed weekend planned from Friday night dinner and movie to a charity ride Saturday morning and field events Saturday afternoon.  Saturday dinner will be fried chicken with all the fixings.  Onsite Registration is $60 (13yrs and older)\, $25 (12yrs and under).  This includes 2 nights of tent camping\, Friday and Saturday dinners\, free flowing coffee and tea\, Door Prizes\, and field events.  Preregistration fee will be $50 (13yrs and older)\, $30 (12yrs and under) with a deadline for preregistration of September 11th 2020. We will meet at 10AM at Keith and Laura Stone’s home with KSU at 10:30 – coffee and pastries will be provided.\nThe route will take us along seaside and bayside rural roads with a stop in Onancock for lunch at Mallards. We will finish up the ride at our last stop\, Cape Charles Brewery.\nThe ride will be ~97 miles and is expected to take around two hours.
